ABOUT ME

My path as a designer started at the Polytechnic of Turin (Italy) where I graduated in Visual Communication Design. Here I acquired visual skills and the ability to make concepts easy to grasp for others.

But, I’ve always felt that I needed to develop my strategic skills and make good use of my critical thinking to stimulate innovation. For this reason, after one year of working and practising my English in London, I moved to Copenhagen in 2019 where I attended a MSc in Service Systems Design at Aalborg University.

During my studies, I joined a a creative innovation agency called Stupid Studio, as a Social Innovation Manager and Service Designer. Here, I’ve been challenged to experiment with a big variety of projects and clients.

Currently I a work as a Consultant in IS IT A BIRD, where I cover different roles bridging co-creation, facilitation, service design as well as user research and strategy.

My diverse background and versatile approach to projects have led me to define myself as a transdisciplinary designer. My work has mainly been characterised by the mission of co-creating service systems, experiences, and business innovation while generating ethical and sustainable solutions for the complex challenges that the world is facing.

While working in teams, I have an analytical approach and I feel comfortable navigating uncertainty. This defines me as a “big picture” player; I love to visually facilitate processes, connect dots and bring people together toward mutual visions.

I am an Italian Transdisciplinary Designer located
in Copenhagen, and my full name is Marialuisa (she/her).
I do Service Design, Facilitation,User Research, Strategy,
Systems Mapping & Visualization.
